GridGEM Provides Complex G100 Solution at University Site

GridGEM was chosen by Plymouth Marjon University and their key energy contractor, Mole Energy, to provide a G100 compliant solution to manage their export constraint at their site. The project was deemed to be complex due to the distances involved and the client’s HV connected site which required significant design engineering. The system manages 2 different installations to ensure that export remains within the DNO’s required limit.

GridGEM Provides G99 Fault Data & Power Quality

GridGEM was chosen by Ethical Power to provide the G99 interface for active control plus the provision of a G99 fault and power quality recorder.

The system is one of only 2 that are approved in the UK market and will enable any type C or larger installation meet the existing DNO G99 requirements for real-time data recording.

GridGEM Enables Vensys Wind Turbine to Connect to Grid

GridGEM was chosen by Vensys wind turbines, based in Germany, to provide a G99 compliant Grid controller solution for its wind turbines installed in the UK.

Argand have just completed our 1st project with this new technology solution for a 3.5MW Vensys wind turbine owned by Clean Earth Energy, supplying power to a local manufacturing business in South Wales.

GridGEM Enables “Parallel Supply” Private Wire Connection with ANM & G100

GridGEM was chosen by Black Dog Biogas to provide the solution to the complex set of problems associated with connecting their biogas electricity generating units to the Vestas wind turbine manufacturing site in the Isle of Wight in the UK.

The project had issues of parallel supply, active network management (ANM) & export limitation (G100 in the UK.)

GridGEM Enables G100 Export Constrained Rooftop Solar with Multiple HV Incomers

GridGEM was chosen by Sungift Energy as their chosen solution to enable the connection of their 240 kWp solar PV system at BREAN Leisure Park. GridGEM was chosen because it made the complex connection problem simple to overcome.

GridGEM Enables Multi-Roof Solar with HV Connection Constraints

GridGEM was chosen by Solar Sense UK to provide the solution to enable a complex solar installation to take place on an industrial client site with inverters in multiple locations, multiple HV incomers and large distances physically between assets.

Active Network Management Solution for 2.5MW Wind Turbine

GridGEM was chosen by Clean Earth Energy to provide the realtime and dynamic client side ANM interface between their 2.5 MW Vensys wind turbine and Scottish Power, the DNO.

GridGEM chosen as Solution to Manage Constrained Wind Turbine Incorporating Load Management

GridGEM was chosen by a Scottish client to provide an export limitation solution that embedded load management prior to reducing the output of the turbine.

GridGEM Chosen as Solution to Manage 850 kW Wind Turbine Private Wire

Royal Mint, the UK-based provider of currency, needed a trusted solution to manage the provision of electricity from an 850 kW wind turbine on a private wire to their site which was subject to an export constraint.

GridGEM Enables Multi-MW Solar Co-Location with Wind Farm

GridGEM was chosen as the control solution to enable the co-location of 2.5MW of solar PV with an existing 6MW wind farm to ensure that the combined power did not break the existing 6MW connection & export limit.

GridGEM Enables Investor Owned Wind Turbine to Connect to Industrial Site via Private Wire

GridGEM was chosen as the control solution to enable a 500kW wind turbine to supply electricity to Imerys’s clay mining site via a private wire in Cornwall. The project was complex due to a combination of export constraints across multiple HV connection points & the need for a dynamic changeover between different connection points.

GridGEM Enables Southend Airport to Install 2.5MW of Solar PV

GridGEM was chosen by Syzygy Renewables as the control solution to enable a 2.5MW solar PV system to be installed at Southend Airport. The project was complex due to a combination of export constraints across multiple HV connection points & the need to solve the problem of communicating with the inverters across a runway!
